We craft the lids and labels for our  candles using an array of exotic wood species from around the world. Each wood brings its unique beauty: from the deep, warm tones of Bubinga and Bolivian Rosewood, to the striking purple hue of Purpleheart, the rich scent of Aromatic Red Cedar, and the intricate grain of Curly Maple. Canarywood offers a golden warmth, Mahogany lends timeless elegance, Black Limba features its distinct variegated streaks, Leopardwood captivates with its lace-like, leopard print pattern, and Padauk stands out with its vibrant orange to reddish-brown hues that deepen gracefully over time. Each lid and label is handcrafted in our studio from solid wood—never plywood or glued composites—showcasing the authentic character of this premium material. Every piece adds natural charm and creates a luxurious, one-of-a-kind candle decor experience. 

 Zebrawood is famed for its eye-catching, dramatic stripes that resemble a zebra’s pattern. The wood’s light brown or creamy background contrasts with bold dark brown streaks, creating a unique and striking appearance. Its coarse texture and interlocking grain, combined with its large pores, make Zebrawood a highly textured and visually appealing choice for candle lids and labels. The natural beauty of this African wood adds a bold, modern touch to any candle.

Bubinga, often called African Rosewood, is a strong and hard wood known for its stunning beauty. Its vivid pinkish-red to dark reddish-brown hues, accentuated by striking dark purple or black streaks, create a warm and luxurious appearance. Bubinga is frequently used as a substitute for more expensive woods like traditional Rosewood due to its similar look and durability. This exotic wood adds a unique, high-end touch to any candle with its dense, polished finish and intricate grain.

Curly Maple is a captivating wood known for its wavy or "curly" grain pattern, which creates a three-dimensional effect that gives the impression of the wood curling along its length. The wood itself is a creamy white with occasional reddish-brown heartwood, adding a subtle yet stunning detail to candle lids and labels.

  Our Black Limba wood lids and labels bring a touch of elegance and natural beauty to each Grace Candle. Sourced from West Africa, this exotic hardwood features a stunning light base with rich dark streaks, creating a unique variegated pattern that ensures no two pieces are exactly alike. Each lid and label is handcrafted in our studio from solid Black Limba wood showcasing the authentic character of this premium material.

 Bolivian Rosewood, also known as Pau Ferro or Morado, is highly prized for its rich, swirling grain patterns and exceptional hardness. This exotic wood showcases a dynamic range of colors, from warm reddish-orange to deep violet-brown, often with contrasting dark black streaks. Its dramatic appearance and durability make it a perfect choice for elegant candle lids and labels. Bolivian Rosewood's luxurious, polished finish and intricate grain will add sophistication to any candle design.

Canary Wood is a beautifully diverse hardwood known for its almost rainbow-like coloration, featuring natural hues of orange, yellow, and brown, often accompanied by striking dark red streaks. This vivid variety in color gives it a unique and eye-catching appearance, making it a favorite.

Color: Irregular in color with a range from a pale yellow/orange to a darker reddish brown with streaks of red, purple, and black.

 African Mahogany is renowned for its lustrous finish and exceptional durability, making it a perfect substitute for the endangered Honduran Mahogany. This rich, tropical wood has a distinctive reddish-brown hue that ranges from lighter pink or salmon shades to deeper, darker tones. Its luxurious appearance and smooth texture make Mahogany an elegant choice for candle lids and labels, adding warmth and sophistication to any candle.

Because these trees are slow-growing, harvested boards tend to be narrower and may contain knots, which only adds to their natural beauty. The aromatic nature and rich appearance of Red Cedar make it a classic, comforting addition to any candle design.

 Purpleheart is a truly unique wood that lives up to its name with its rich, violet-purple hue. When first cut, the wood appears dull gray or brownish, but exposure to light transforms it into a vibrant purple. Over time, the color deepens, taking on darker brown tones with a hint of purple. Known for its density, hardness, and durability, Purpleheart offers both strength and beauty, making it an exquisite choice for candle lids and labels that stand out.

Color: Initially dull gray to purplish-brown, darkens to vibrant violet-purple with light exposure, eventually maturing to a dark brown with purple undertones.
